Nyanga Man Commits Suicide After Being Rejected By His Lover

Police in Manicaland are investigating a tragic case in which a 48-year-old man took his own life after being rejected by his lover.

Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed the d£ath of Zealot Nyagato of Nyajejezi Village under Chief Saunyama, who was found hanging from a tree outside the home of his lover, Alice Museta (47).

According to police, Nyagato had visited Museta on 15 October 2025, but an argument broke out, leading Museta to end their relationship.

She later left for Charamba Business Centre, leaving Nyagato behind.

The following morning, Museta’s children discovered Nyagato’s body hanging from a tree. Police took the body to Nyanga District Hospital, where a post-mortem confirmed death by suicide.
