ZVISHAVANE – Two people are feared dead after two trucks loaded with chrome plunged into Ngezi Bridge early Tuesday morning.

The trucks were reportedly traveling from Mberengwa to Zvishavane when they veered off the bridge while attempting to avoid a stationary vehicle.

The crash occurred at dawn, disrupting traffic along the busy mining corridor and causing alarm among early morning commuters.

Eyewitnesses say both trucks lost control and crashed into the bridge structure, with one partially submerged and the other severely damaged.

ZBC reported that emergency services were dispatched to the scene, but no official statement has been issued by police at the time of reporting.
