ZESA prepaid system down nationwide
ZESA prepaid system down nationwide‼️
The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) says the prepaid vending system is down.
In a public notice, the power utility said customers will not be able to access the service from Monday the 20th to Tuesday 21st of October 2025.
The blackout has been attributed to ongoing upgrades of the system.
ZETDC would like to advise its valued customers nationwide of the
unavailability of the prepaid third-party electricity token purchase
system from Monday 20 October 2025 at 1800 hours to Tuesday 21
October at 0600 hours. This is to allow for the third-party vending
system upgrade.
During this period, all third-party vending platforms, including mobile
money platforms, banks, supermarket Point of Sale (POS) systems, and
online channels will be unavailable for token purchases.
Customers are therefore advised to purchase sufficient electricity
tokens to sustain them during the service disruption period.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
